ALL BIKES STORY
ALL BIKES SOCIAL CLUB INC.
The story of All Bikes Social Club Inc. starts back in September 2001, when a small group of motorcycle riders in the Nepean Area of Sydney met and decided to start a social club.
A venue was found, and we began weekly meetings to nut out the mundane, but totally necessary details such as the clubs name, logo, constitution and code of conduct.
After some four or five weeks of discussion, the group decided on the name "Allbikes Social Club".
The Club is not restricted to any one type, style or size of motorcycle, hence the name "Allbikes". Membership is open to anyone holding a motorcycle licence and owner of a road registrable motorcycle, male or female. The Club also included the facility to accommodate non-motorcycle owners as "Associate Members".
Committee members were elected once all the finer points of the Constitution and Code of Conduct were completed. The members then attended to the task of incorporating the Social Club, making it a legal entity in its own right, and sought, for many weeks, Public Liability Insurance. After many enquiries, an insurance company was found who would undertake the cover.
Club T-shirts, designed for both members and non-members, and Club caps have also been designed, and re-designed, are given to members and sold to those interested. The Club is also looking at belts and buckles at present.
Since the Club started there have been a number of rides notably to places such as Oberon, Lithgow, Kangaroo Valley, Wollongong, The Entrance, Wisemans Ferry, the Half Way Cafe (about 65 ks south of Singleton) and Mt White. Mid-week night rides have been organised during the warmer months.
Family barbecues and nights out are also held approximately every eight weeks at various locations.
